Question: from Addie
Hi Warren, what is your opinion on Coq10? What's the best one to buy?
Answer: from Warren
CoQ10 is an essential nutrient and very important for heart health.
It is manufactured by the liver and only a very small amount comes from dietary sources. However, a good diet can help provide the raw ingredients to enable your liver to produce an ample supply.
But, if you are on a statin drug then you must supplement with CoQ10 because the pathway that a statin drug blocks in order to prevent your liver from making so much cholesterol is the same as that used to produce CoQ10.
So, if you use a statin drug your body will produce less than it is using each day and a deficiency will be the result as your body’s reserves of CoQ10 are used up. And that is more serious than elevated cholesterol itself.
Once again a concerted, coordinated approach to mislead the public into believing in the existence of a miracle pill in the form of a statin drug is underway. Don’t fall for it!
What is all this about?
Over the last few days there have been headlines all over the world about what I am going to tell you. If you haven’t seen them yet, it won’t be long before you do, or, hear about them. Here are a few examples.
“Statin cuts stroke risk in healthy folk: Study”
"It's a breakthrough study, it's a blockbuster. It's absolutely paradigm-shifting."
"A highly anticipated study has produced powerful evidence that a simple blood test can spot seemingly healthy people who are at increased risk for a heart attack or stroke and that giving them a widely used drug offers potent protection against the nation's leading killers."
“Heart attack risks cut by 50%”
These headlines are not limited to the USA. They are world wide. I was on an airplane between New Zealand and Singapore a couple of days ago and I picked up newspapers from Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia and they were all singing the same tune and obviously had been receiving the same news releases from the public relations firms coordinating the ‘assault’.
Question: from Mary
I recently am dating a wonderful guy but has numerous cardio problems as well as being diabetic type II, He also has a difibulator and is under numerous prescription meds that seem to be doing more harm than good.
He supposedly had 3 heart attacks but doesn't remember having them. Also supposedly a stroke. I believe he was used as a guinea pig for this difibulator as it almost killed him by shorting out 19 times and was never notified of a recall on it. He is 49 yrs old.
He experiences extreme pain in legs, knees, shoulders, feet and has ED. Now he is starting to experience problems with his eyes and headaches. I think these doctors have him on so many drugs his body is trying to fight them. Also fatigue is a factor and some pain in the kidney area. Oh, by the way they did a test on his kidneys a while back and injected him with iodine.
This poor guy has been through hell.
