Weight loss help with Xtend-Life??

As our customers and readers know we do not promote any of our products specifically for weight loss. The reason for this is that there is no such thing as a really effective stand alone weight loss product which is why we have never produced one for that purpose.

At the end of the day weight loss is dependent upon calories in versus calories out. In other words if you put more calories into your body than you use you will put on weight...it is impossible to have any other result. So, neither our products nor anyone else’s will make you lose weight unless you combine it with lifestyle adjustments, stop eating certain foods and do some reasonable exercise.

However, I have always argued that if you maintain a good balance of nutrients in your body then two things can happen. One is that you are less likely to have cravings and the other is that you are more likely to exercise. Over the last 10 years feedback from customers would tend to support this principle.

Over the next couple of months I intend putting aside time to update the weight loss report. There is much that I have learnt since writing that a number of years ago as science has moved on. For example, I have only recently learnt of how our Omega 3 fish oilis helping people lose weight particularly for those who have been on a low fat diet. When levels of fat intake get too low it interferes with leptin which regulates how full you feel which in turn leads to higher food intake.

The fatty acids in the Omega 3 fish oil seem to help normalize that situation. But, that is only the tip of the weight loss ‘iceberg’. One of the biggest enemies for someone wishing to lose weight is processed foods. The additives and empty calories in these foods play havoc not only with your weight but your entire body systems. I will go into this in much more depth in the updated report.

For now, the purpose of doing this posting was on the suggestion of a customer who thought that other customers may wish to share their experiences in their weight loss successes.

Daniel started by making a comment in another posting. That was followed by Taffy. I have posted their comments and mine and welcome others to post theirs.

Hi Warren, not sure if this is the right place to ask this...but I'm taking the Total Balance Unisex Premium and it is working wonders. I have been trying to lose weight and so far have lost 19Kg(42 pounds?). Anyway, my question is, is it better to have 3 in the morning and 3 at night or lunch? I have been taking 6 in the morning, and just wondering if I will benefit from splitting the doses. Thanks.

Response: from Warren

Great to hear about the results you have been getting. It really doesn't make a great deal of difference whether you split the dose or not.

It seems that what you have been doing is working for you so my suggestion is keep continuing what you have been doing. How long have you been taking it for?

I assume that you have made some other lifestyle changes? TB helps people lose weight but it takes effort on other fronts as well. I would be interested to learn more of what you have been doing.

Thanks for your quick reply, I have been trying to lose weight for about 3 and a half months now. I bought a bottle to try, didn't buy a second for at least a month, then have been using them for about a month straight now. Yes I have made huge lifestyle changes as well, although whether it is a placebo effect or not, the Total Balance appears to accelerate the weight loss. I weigh m self every day, and if I look at the chart, you can see a dramatic increase in weight loss while I am taking the tablets. Like I said, so far I have lost 19.2KG (Measured this morning) ...so I am very happy. All I have been doing is eating intelligently, and doing high intensity workouts 2 or 3 times a week for only half an hour.

Daniel, keep up what you are doing and let us know how your progress goes. As a point of interest I would suggest that if you haven't already to add our Omega 3 fish oil to your regime at double the dose. 4 soft gels a day. I have good reason to believe that it will help your weight loss efforts further due to the effect it has on leptin. I will talk more about that when I have finished some further research.

Comment: from Taffy

I would like to back up what Daniel has said and what I have previously posted under the name David. I see there is another David posting so I thought I would use my nickname Taffy to differentiate. When I was taking TB Men's Premium, Male Rejuvenator, Neural Natural Memory, Omega 3 and Bee Pollen the weight almost literally fell off me.

There is one caveat though, which Warren has mentioned. You have to change other things too. For me, it was getting back into using my Concept 2 rowing machine. Fice rows a week for three weeks at 10,000 metres saw me lose a great amount of weight. Then I got gout and had to stop. Plus my budget was a bit tight. I have just ordered more and look forward to getting back on the bike, or the rower, as the case might be. It might be worthwhile starting a blog entry about weight loss, where people like Daniel and I could track our progress.

I drink green tea (3 times per day) -- and that appears to speed up metabolism so helps maintain an healthy weight.

Hy Warren,

I was wondering if you could do a blog entry about this new kind of dangerous synthetic called interesterified fat. From what I've seen those fats are even worse than trans fats.

Hi Warren,

I just saw something about acai berries and "colon cleansing" as a method for weight loss. I am very cautious with all these "miracle" products. What is your opinion about those? Thank you for sharing.

Hi Gabriella,

Sorry, but there is no such thing as a 'miracle product'. Acai berry extract is a good ingredient but the actives are similar to other herbals. We looked into a few years ago before it become so hyped up and so popular. We decided against it because we could not find a source that met our standards and it had no advantages over other ingredients we were using.

Just recently one of the biggest marketers of Acai products got a heavy fine from the FTC for misleading marketing. Acai won't impact on your weight loss efforts any more than green tea.

With regard to colon cleansing there is a case for professionally done colonics combined with an appropriate diet for a few days...but, forget about colon cleansing using oral supplements.

Also with regard to weight loss you should also look at your fat intake. If you are not getting enough you will actually get fat. I don't have time to explain that in detail now but I hope to do a report on this issue within the next couple of months.

If you are not already I would suggest that you take our Omega 3 DHA fish oil, probably at double the normal dose. This may help your weight loss effort and certainly help your overall health.

Also, avoid processed foods like the plague and avoid all sodas.
